Preventative Dental Treatments
Dental Check-ups & Cleans
Regular dental examinations and professional cleans help to maintain healthy teeth and gums. We recommend attending for a check-up at intervals advised by Dr Aoibheann, based on your individual oral health needs.
Gum Disease & Recession (Periodontitis)
Gum disease can cause symptoms including bleeding gums, gum recession, persistent, bad breath and tooth sensitivity. Our team can assess and discuss management options with you.
Custom Sports Mouthguards
A custom-fitted sports mouth guard provides protection for teeth, gums and jaw during contact and collision sports. Custom guards are made from impressions of your own teeth for an accurate, comfortable fit.
Teeth Grinding (Bruxism) & TMJ
Teeth grinding (bruxism) and jaw clenching can cause tooth wear, jaw discomfort and headaches. An occlusal splint is a custom-made dental appliance worn over the teeth to help protect them from the effects of grinding and clenching. Dr Aoibheann can assess your teeth and jaw and discuss options with you.
Dental Fissure Sealants
Dental Fissure Sealants Fissure sealants are applied to the grooves of back teeth to help reduce the risk of decay. They are commonly recommended for children but may be suitable for adults too.

Dental crowns are used to restore and protect damaged teeth. Bridges can replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring to adjacent teeth. Dr Aoibheann can discuss the most suitable option based on your clinical needs.

Dental implant restoration involves placing a crown, bridge or other prosthetic onto a dental implant. Dr Aoibheann works with specialist implant providers and can discuss whether implant restoration is suitable for you
Dentures
Full and partial dentures are a removable option for replacing missing teeth. We offer modern denture options and can provide a referral to a prosthetist where appropriate.
